Smallville meets Taxi: two personalized TTM returns
Today’s mailbox delivered two more signed custom collages, this time from actresses Allison Mack and Marilu Henner! From the world of Smallville to the familiar faces of Taxi, these returns bring two very different television memories into the collection—and both came back with personal messages.
Allison Mack — Smallville’s Chloe Sullivan
First up is Allison Mack, who personalized my collage to Scott and added “With gratitude” and “xo” alongside her signature. The handwritten message stretches across the autograph space, making this a particularly personal addition to my Smallville collection.
Allison played Chloe Sullivan on Smallville (2001–2011), the series following Clark Kent’s journey toward becoming Superman. Chloe’s curiosity, determination, and friendship with Clark made her an important part of the show’s world.
Chloe was created specifically for the series, giving Smallville a new character alongside its familiar Superman names. Her interest in journalism and investigating mysteries helped drive many of the stories, and she later took on the role of Watchtower, helping coordinate the show’s team of heroes.
That evolution—from an inquisitive young reporter to someone supporting heroes behind the scenes—is a big part of Chloe’s place in the series. My collage brings together several portraits of Allison, and having her autograph on it adds another connection to that chapter of superhero television.

The second return is from Marilu Henner! She greeted me with “Hey Scott!” and “All the best!” before signing my custom collage. I love when a return includes that extra personal touch, and this one looks wonderful with the yellow taxi and warm lights in the design.
Marilu is best known for playing Elaine Nardo on the classic sitcom Taxi. She was part of an extraordinary ensemble that included Judd Hirsch, Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Andy Kaufman, and Christopher Lloyd. Elaine brought warmth and wit to a workplace full of unforgettable personalities.
Her television career also includes Ava Evans Newton on Evening Shade alongside Burt Reynolds and Aida Teagarden in Hallmark’s Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. Her film credits include Johnny Dangerously, L.A. Story, and Noises Off, while her stage work has included Grease and Chicago.
A five-time Golden Globe nominee and bestselling author, Marilu has built a career that reaches well beyond one beloved role. But for this return, there’s no better way to set the mood than the opening to Taxi. Here’s that familiar introduction to go with her signed collage.
